Job description

The Opportunity:

The Monash Philosophy Department seeks to appoint a Lecturer to a full-time, continuing position to commence in January 2022. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching, research, and graduate supervision in the department.

The successful applicant will have ethics as an area of competence, with a broader scope for area of expertise, including, as well as ethics, philosophy of science (e.g., biology or economics), moral psychology, decision theory, epistemology. This appointment will have an important teaching role in the Philosophy major and our Politics, Philosophy, Economics (PPE) degree, as well as our interdisciplinary major in Human Rights.

Remuneration: 

$101,130 - $120,093 AUD pa Level B (plus 17% employer superannuation)
