Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Dartmouth College invites applications for a two-year residential postdoctoral fellowship, beginning July 1, 2022. We seek someone specializing in Philosophy of Race, African-American Political Thought, or Africana Philosophy. We construe Philosophy of Race broadly to include relevant work in epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of language, social and political philosophy, history of philosophy, and other subfields. In addition to conducting research, the successful applicant will teach two courses per year. Dartmouth runs on a quarter system, with three 10-week terms per academic year. The department will provide research support and mentorship. Applicants are expected to complete their PhDs by September 1, 2022.
