Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy (AOS: Open, AOC: Preference for some combination of Philosophy of Law, Social/Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Race, Non-Western Philosophy, and Feminism) beginning in fall 2022. Loyola University New Orleans is a highly selective, Jesuit, Catholic institution dedicated to the liberal arts and sciences, whose primary mission is undergraduate education. The position has a 3/3 teaching load, and the ability to teach a broad range of material is an advantage. The candidate is expected to excel in teaching, research, and service. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in philosophy, with degree in hand by August 2022. Priority will be given to applications received by November 29, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants should provide complete dossier, including cover letter, CV, transcripts, 3 letters of recommendation, teaching statement, and writing sample.
