Job description

he Division of Cross-Disciplinary Studies (CDST) at ETSU seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach an asynchronous online course on business and professional ethics for the Spring 2022 semester. The course will be open to both graduate and undergraduate students from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds.

CDST houses two undergraduate and two graduate interdisciplinary studies degree programs and is part of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies. Its mission is to provide both interdisciplinary studies and degree completion options to a wide variety of traditional and post-traditional students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The graduate level of this course will be part of the program core requirements for Master of Professional Studies. It will also be open to other graduate and undergraduate students.   The successful candidate will have applied ethics, particularly business and professional ethics, as an AOS or strong AOC, will have knowledge of the philosophical issues in business and professional ethics, and will have the knowledge and skills needed to teach in accordance with best practices for asynchronous online courses.   Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Philosophy; experience teaching business and professional ethics, broadly construed.   Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online asynchronous courses is preferred; experience teaching interdisciplinary content is desirable; previous experience with teaching post-traditional students is desirable.   ETSU is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce by ensuring all of our students, faculty, and staff work in an environment of openness and acceptance.
