Position Summary The University of Dayton, Department of Teacher Education is seeking a dynamic faculty member with a specialization in Social Foundations of Education at the rank of assistant professor to begin August 16, 2022. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Foundations of Education per semester, including philosophy of education and contemporary perspectives on schools and schooling. The candidate will teach both face-to-face and online; advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate education majors; maintain an ongoing program of research; and provide service to the department, university and broader community. Presence on campus for face-to-face teaching and mentoring of students is an essential function of the position.
