Postdoctoral Research Associate (EXPIRED)

The Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University seeks up to three (3) research associates (postdoctoral scholars) for a two-year term, beginning in August 2022. Candidates with strengths in political philosophy and political economy are particularly welcome, but we will seriously consider any candidate interested in pursuing work that brings together philosophy, the social sciences, or the humanities more broadly.

Research associates will be expected to teach one course per year. A completed PhD (or equivalent) is required prior to the position’s starting date. Candidates should address in their cover letter how their research and teaching fit with the mission of the Smith Institute. We seek candidates with the ability to generate and publish research of the highest quality.
