Job description |
Position Description The Department of Philosophy at Washington and Lee University invites applications for a full-time, 2-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2022. AOS: Ethics. AOC: Medical Ethics. Teaching load is six undergraduate courses each year, distributed over two 12-week semesters and one 4-week intensive May term. There may be thesis and independent study supervision. There is no summer teaching. There may be opportunities to work closely with the Roger Mudd Center for Ethics, the Shepherd Program for the Interdisciplinary Study of Poverty and Human Capability, and other programs. W&L is ranked in the top twelve liberal arts institutions.
