Visiting Lecturer (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a full-time, visiting faculty member to begin Fall 2022. This is a one-year, non-renewable teaching position with competitive salary and benefits.

Visiting faculty at Mount Holyoke teach five courses per year. Area of specialization is open, but the candidates must be prepared to teach Symbolic Logic and Early Modern philosophy. The ability to teach advanced courses in logic is highly desirable. The ability to teach Medical Ethics and/or other courses in the history of philosophy would also be desirable. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of strong teaching at the undergraduate level and experience mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. A doctorate (anticipated or completed) in philosophy is required.
