Lecturer in Political Theory/Political Philosophy (EXPIRED)

This is a full-time teaching position for a visiting scholar, ideally for two semesters with the possibility to extend the contract.

This position entails teaching consecutive courses on History of Political Thought, and courses on Political Theory. Faculty will be teaching three courses per semester (45 hours each) and have some administrative duties. 

The starting date is September 1, 2022, though it is recommended for a successful candidate to plan to arrive two or three weeks in advance. 

Applicants should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. They should hold a PhD degree with publication record in the field. BISLA is a small (60 students altogether) liberal arts college--the only college of this kind in Slovakia. It is a leader in education, placing first in the OECD ranking of higher education institutions in Slovakia, and in the top 16th percentile internationally.
