Job description |
The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at NC State University welcomes applications for possible teaching positions in Philosophy during 2022/23. These are short-term contract positions involving one or more courses for one or two semesters. Courses in which the Department could have teaching needs include the following: Introduction to Philosophy, Contemporary Moral Issues, Issues in Business Ethics, Data Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Logic (introductory to advanced), Philosophy of Science and other PHI courses listed in the NC State course catalog (https://webappprd.acs.ncsu.edu/php/coursecat/directory.php). We may require instructors for either classroom courses or online distance-education courses (but local residence is required for both). Depending on the Department’s needs, any candidates who are selected will be offered contracts to teach one or more course-sections for either a single semester or the full academic year. MA in Philosophy or related field required. PhD strongly preferred. Rank is dependent on qualifications. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States.
