Visiting Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at the Ohio State University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach courses in philosophy designed for a general education program and for majors and minors in Philosophy. The teaching load is three courses per semester.  A successful candidate will also pursue research and participate in the life of the department, thereby contributing to the undergraduate and graduate programs.  Our department provides a lively intellectual community for research and teaching.

Assigned courses will depend on expertise, interest, and departmental needs.  We have a variety of curricular needs, and courses taught could include some of:  Introduction to Metaphysics, Consciousness, Philosophy of Action, Theorizing Race, Environmental Ethics, Engineering Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, or others.
