MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, BALTIMORE, MD. Full Time Lecturer for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Position is renewable annually. Four (4) undergraduate courses/semester. AOS: Open AOC: Critical Thinking, Logic, Ethics. Ability to teach Introduction to Critical Thinking, Ethics, and Introduction to Philosophy is necessary. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. EO/AAE. Morgan State University is a historically Black university, designated as Maryland’s Preeminent Public Urban Research University. Send supporting documents including two letters of reference, a curriculum vitae, transcripts, a narrative describing your teaching philosophy and areas of interest, any additional documentation (e.g., evidence of teaching effectiveness), and a writing sample to Dr. Seth Vannatta, Chairperson, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Morgan State University, at [email protected]. Consideration of dossiers begins May 9, 2022.
The successful applicant is scheduled to teach three sections of PHIL 109: Introduction to Critical Thinking and one section of PHIL 119: Honors Introduction to Critical Thinking in the fall.
