One-year instructional faculty position (open rank) (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Ohio University invites applications for a full-time,non-tenure-track, one-year instructional faculty position (open rank) in philosophy, beginning in fall, 2022. The expected teaching schedule requires the teaching of four onsite classes at Ohio University in each of the fall and spring semesters.

80% of the successful candidate’s effort will be in teaching, with a focus on teaching philosophy courses—such as intro to philosophy, intro ethics, intro logic, and symbolic logic—that serve Ohio University general education requirements and requirements of the philosophy B.A. and M.A. Programs. 20% of the successful candidate’s effort will be in service, including helping to coordinate the department’s offerings in introductory logic, and the mentoring of graduate students who serve either as TAs or instructors of record for these sections.
