Job description

Boston College. Assistant Professor of the Practice, Philosophy; full-time, non
tenure-track, 3-year contact (renewable). In exceptional cases, a higher rank
may be considered. AOS: Open. AOC: Broad familiarity with the histories of
Western philosophy and Christian theology.
The primary responsibility of the position is contributing to the undergraduate core (3-3 course load). The successful candidate will be expected to teach Perspectives on Western Culture in the Perspectives Program, an interdisciplinary core course based in the study of major philosophical and theological texts. Thus, a record of demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. For more information about the Perspectives Program, visit the
