Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in Philosophy (Epistemology, Language & Mind) (EXPIRED)

The University of St Andrews invites applications for an Associate Lectureship (Education Focused), within the School of Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies. The position will have a fixed-term contract for 12 months, commencing on 1st September 2022.

The main purpose of the post is to provide undergraduate and possibly MLitt teaching in epistemology, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and related areas. The post-holder will give lectures, seminars, tutorials, and may be asked to coordinate modules and carry out other standard teaching and administrative tasks as required. Most modules are team taught; the post holder is likely only to teach parts of them.

Candidates will hold a doctorate in philosophy at the time of appointment and will be expected to show a commitment to outstanding teaching at all levels, from first-year undergraduate teaching to contributing to postgraduate teaching.
