| Job description |
The Research Fellow will have been awarded a doctorate in philosophy, preferably with a focus on social epistemology or virtue epistemology. The Research Fellow will have demonstrated a capacity to make a leading contribution to the AHRC-funded, Digital Knowledge research project, producing high-quality research in accordance with the project’s aims, and will have the skills and knowledge required to teach at the appropriate levels. The candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to developing impact and engage with non-academic audiences. The post is attached to the Department of Philosophy which sits within the School of Divinity, History and Philosophy and Art History (DHPA). Salary will be at Grade 6 SP 30 of the University salary scale: £34,304 per annum. This is a project limited position, available for 36 months, expected to commence no later than 1 September 2022. Should you require a visa to undertake employment in the UK you will be required to fulfil the minimum points criteria to be granted a Certificate of Sponsorship under the requirements of the Skilled Worker visa. At the time an offer of appointment is made, you will be asked to demonstrate that you fulfil the criteria in respect of qualification and competency in English.
