Position Description The Philosophy Department at Yale University is looking to hire one, tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Ancient Philosophy (construed broadly as including any aspect of the philosophy of Greco-Roman Antiquity) beginning July 1, 2023. The teaching expectation is normally 4 courses per academic year, plus service to the program, including undergraduate and graduate advising and departmental and university service. AOS: Ancient philosophy (construed broadly as including any aspect of the philosophy of Greco-Roman Antiquity). AOC: Open. Qualifications The appointee must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by June 1, 2023.
