Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position in Philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2022. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Philosophy by that effective date. The salary is competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package. 

The area of specialization sought is one (or more) of Metaphysics, Epistemology, Philosophy of Mind, and Philosophy of Language.

The successful candidate will be expected to (1) maintain an active research agenda, (2) teach four courses per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (3) provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.
