Series Editor: Everyday Lifestyle Series (EXPIRED)

The Public Philosophy Beat of the Blog of the American Philosophical Association seeks a Series Editor to manage the Everyday Lifestyle Series.  

This is a great opportunity for especially graduate students to engage in an exploration of philosophy from a unique perspective that focuses on the everyday aspects of life.  

Series editors may work with authors on posts that center attention on:

• Everyday rituals

• Cooking

• Recipes

• Vacation Spots

• Weekend Spots

• Family Activities 

• Daily Routines

And much more.  

Our goal with this series is to highlight how different kinds of philosophies could be used to discuss everyday activities.  For instance, we could examine everyday lifestyle through thinking about embodiment, philosophies of movement, aesthetics, stoicism, etc.  

Series Editors will work under the supervision of Dr. Sabrina D. MisirHiralall who manages the Public Philosophy Beat. Series Editors are responsible for publishing one to two posts a month.  Responsibilities include:

• Soliciting for posts

• Submitting posts through Word Press

• Emailing Submitters

All Series Editors are trained by the Blog of APA. Series Editors hold voluntary positions that provide a great opportunity to build a network in philosophy.  Series editors must be members of the APA.
