Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Providence College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship with an AOS in Healthcare Ethics beginning Fall 2023. Teaching load: 3/3. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in ethics for students in the newly established School of Nursing and Health Sciences, and to conduct interdisciplinary team-based teaching in the Development of Western Civilization program. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of perspectives on issues in Healthcare Ethics, including in particular Catholic perspectives in the tradition of Aristotle and Aquinas. In addition, candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogy and/or experience working with a diverse array of students. Ph.D. by date of appointment is required.
