Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time nine-month sessional position as Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor. Candidates should have or be near completion of a PhD in Philosophy. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a promising research profile. The teaching requirement is five undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will teach one undergraduate course of Introductory Philosophy and one of Introductory Logic. We invite applications from all specializations of philosophy, and ideally the successful candidate will have experience teaching or research interest in Medieval Philosophy and/or Philosophy of Law. Historically-informed approaches are preferred, in keeping with the Department’s commitment to the importance of the history of philosophy, broadly construed.
