Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (ABD) - Open (EXPIRED)

MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE, MIDDLEBURY, VT 05753 The Department of Philosophy seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (ABD) for a one-year term position, beginning September 2023, in AOS: Open and AOC: Open, but willing and able to teach one section of Introduction to Modern Logic. Although the AOS is open, the Department is interested in candidates who could teach a suite or cluster of courses from some combination of the following areas: philosophy and/or ethics of science and technology, epistemology, philosophy of race, bioethics and/or an introduction to ethics course. Teaching load is 2-1-2 (two courses per Fall/Spring semester and one January term course). Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching within a liberal arts college environment and scholarly potential.
