Postdoctoral Associate (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Department at Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey located in New Brunswick, NJ, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship. The two-year appointment will begin on September 1, 2023. Responsibilities include full-time research, collaborating with faculty mentor to coordinate visiting speakers, events, and other activities related to faculty member’s signature course, organizing a research workshop on a social justice topic, co-teaching a graduate seminar, and participating in the Rutgers Summer Institute for Diversity in Philosophy. The position will have a 10-month academic year salary of $60,000, along with an annual research account of $3,750. The final candidate will be expected to begin in-person on September 1, 2023. Areas of specialization must include political or social philosophy. Applicants working in nonideal theory with serious research interests in social science, history, or race and ethnic studies, are especially encouraged to apply.
