Lecturer (EXPIRED)

CLEMSON UNIVERSITY, CLEMSON, SC.  The Clemson University Department of Philosophy and Religion seeks to hire a Lecturer in Philosophy with employment to begin on August 15, 2023; Ph.D. in Philosophy required at that time.  AOS and AOC open. Teaching will include introductory general education courses in logic and applied ethics; the Department of Philosophy and Religion has additional needs in the history of philosophy (including 19th and 20th century as well as ancient and modern).  Normal teaching load is 4/4, however, the successful applicant will also be assigned F2F summer teaching beginning June 28th (for additional pay). This is a full-time position with health and retirement benefits.  The appointment is for one year but may be renewed subject to funding.  The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellent teaching.  Applicants should submit a letter of application, CV, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation to Interfolio by March 21st, 2023.
