Adjunct Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at the College of Charleston seeks an adjunct professor to teach beginning in the Fall 2023 semester, preferably full time. Adjuncts teaching a full-time load of at least four courses are typically eligible for health insurance benefits, subject to institutional policies. In the Fall, there are several sections of Introduction to Philosophy and one section of Biomedical Ethics that are open. Face-to-face teaching is preferred, but synchronous online teaching with virtual office hours will be considered. Applications from members of under-represented groups are strongly encouraged.

Applicants should submit a CV, draft syllabi, evidence of teaching ability, a cover letter, and a list of references with contact information.
