Position Description The Philosophy Department at Yale University is looking to hire one tenure-track Assistant Professor in Early Modern Philosophy beginning July 1, 2024. The teaching expectation is normally 4 courses per academic year in Early Modern Philosophy and other areas of Philosophy according to the candidate's area of concentration, plus service to the program, including undergraduate and graduate advising and departmental and university service. Area of Specialty (AOS): Early Modern Philosophy. Area of Competence (AOC): Open. Qualifications The appointee must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by the time of hire.
