The Philosophy Department of Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position to begin September 1, 2024 (pending final budget approval). AOS: Ethical Theory AOC: Open Fairfield University is a Jesuit Catholic institution, consistently ranked as a top comprehensive university in New England, located in the scenic shoreline community of Fairfield, CT, one hour from New York City along Long Island Sound. Our five Colleges and Professional Schools enroll approximately 4,700 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students. Candidates should also be prepared to teach Introduction to Philosophy as well as upper division courses in their area of specialization. The Philosophy Department is a significant contributor to the University core curriculum. Salary is competitive. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by the time of the appointment. Teaching experience is necessary.
