The Department of Philosophy at Wake Forest University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in the Fall of 2024, from candidates who specialize in Social and Political Philosophy. Our teaching needs include, but are not limited to, the following: Philosophy of Race, Gender, Sexuality; Disability; Environmental Philosophy/Ethics; Bioethics; Non-Western Philosophy; and Business Ethics. The teaching load for this position is 4.5 undergraduate courses per year. Additional responsibilities include advising and departmental and college service. The Wake Forest Philosophy Department is a collegial, pluralistic, and supportive community of 13 permanent faculty with a wide range of teaching and research interests and over 75 undergraduate Philosophy majors.
