COLBY COLLEGE, Waterville, ME. Assistant Professor in Philosophy, beginning September 1, 2024. Four or five courses per year to include core Ancient Philosophy course for majors, and three additional courses from candidate’s AOC and AOS. AOS: Ancient Greek Philosophy. AOC: Social/Political Philosophy; Philosophies of Race/Ethnicity; Feminism; Sex/Gender; Philosophy of Disability, or other areas of diversity. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the campus community. ABD or Ph.D. in Philosophy and evidence of teaching excellence required. Submit C.V., three confidential letters of recommendation, statement of teaching philosophy that includes evidence of a commitment to the value of diversity and experience with inclusive teaching, sample syllabus of an Ancient Philosophy course, and cover letter highlighting fit with this job description, to http://apply.interfolio.com/134791.
