Assistant Lecturer in the School of Humanities (Philosophy) (Ref.: 523230) (to commence on June 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Politics (with a focus on political theory), or a related field.  The appointee will be responsible for teaching and academic advising at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for the Department of Philosophy, including its MA in the field of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) programme.  Preference will be given to those with expertise in teaching economic theory or the philosophy of economics.  Training in economics or experience in teaching economics is desirable but not required. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  Please note that the University is not able to offer a relocation assistant package (including temporary University housing accommodation and a passage and baggage allowance) to the successful candidate recruited from overseas.
