Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Oscar R. Ewing Professor of Philosophy. Rank: Associate or Full Professor. Preferred start date: August 1, 2024. AOS: metaphysics and epistemology broadly construed, preference for philosophy of mind/psychology/cognitive science. AOC: Open. The position includes the potential for significant contribution to Indiana University’s cognitive science program and/or artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. The normal teaching load is 4 courses annually, divided equally between Fall and Spring Semester. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and strong record of research is expected. A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required. A full dossier will include a CV, contact information for at least three references, a research statement, a teaching statement, and a statement on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in and out of the classroom.
