Deep Springs College, an elite 2-year college of 26 students in a remote valley in eastern California, is still accepting applications for the fall and spring semesters of 2024-25. Deep springs admits fewer than 5% of its applicants, all of whom receive full scholarship prior to transfering to top institutions elsewhere. Students engage in a broad liberal arts curriculum, work on the College's cattle ranch and alfalfa farm, and engage in a remarkable program of self-governance.
