Salary: Level B $114,645.00 - $136,136.00 p.a. plus 17% super

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developing new subjects, and supervising higher degree research students. The role requires a commitment to achieving high-level research performance, including the steady production of refereed publications and a demonstrated ability to secure grants. The Lecturer will facilitate a classroom experience that meets diverse needs and promotes scholarly inquiry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Subject coordination, including the supervision of sessional tutors.
  • Curriculum design and innovation, with a focus on cross-disciplinary approaches.
  • Pursuit of grants and the production of high-quality publications.
  • Leadership in the development of national and international institutional partnerships and networks.

Your professional conduct is characterised by a commitment to the highest standards of collegial behaviour, aligning seamlessly with the values and behaviours outlined by the Faculty.

You will also have:

  • PhD or equivalent in Philosophy or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
  • Substantial and active research with a developing publication profile.
  • Specialization in Modern European Philosophy, complementing existing strengths, with the ability to supervise theses and engage in multidisciplinary research.
