Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Wichita State University invites applications for a full time benefits eligible teaching position (non-tenure track) at the rank of Assistant Educator or Assistant Teaching Professor beginning in August 2024.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per semester (4/4), primarily in person engineering and computer ethics courses that are required by the WSU College of Engineering for their majors. The department also has teaching needs in bioethics and other areas, which may be allocated according to faculty interests and expertise.

Non tenure track (NTT) faculty at WSU are faculty members with shared governance and due process rights as well as a promotion track. Our department offices are located in historic Fiske Hall, which has been recently renovated to include an elevator and several accessible all-gender restrooms.
