The Ethics Institute of the Department of Philosophy & Religious Studies is looking for a new colleague specialising in social and/or political philosophy. We are looking for a new colleague specialising in social and/or political philosophy. The position is open to candidates with various specialisations, both in terms of research themes and in terms of methodological approaches, such as critical social theory, democratic theory, theories of justice, historical, intercultural, analytical, continental approaches, etc. Your job You will be embedded in the Ethics Institute of the department of Philosophy & Religious Studies. Teaching will be in the various programmes in which we participate: the BA in Philosophy, the BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), the Research Master’s in Philosophy and the Master in Applied Ethics. In particular, you may be asked to conduct a relatively large share of your tasks within the PPE programme. We highly value interdisciplinary collaboration. Your research specialisation should facilitate collaborations within one or more of Utrecht University’s research strategic themes(Institutions for Open Societies, Dynamics of Youth, Pathways to Sustainability, Life Sciences) or focus areas.
