Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Colorado College seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor for the 2024-25 academic year. AOS open; AOC in a non-Western philosophical tradition, feminist philosophy, or the philosophy of race. Please also indicate whether you could teach introductory courses in ethics and environmental ethics. The teaching load will be 3/3. Colorado College is a private, undergraduate, selective liberal arts institution enrolling approximately 2,200 students. The college uses the Block Plan calendar in which students take one class at a time. For this teaching position, that means our successful candidate will actively work to develop anti-racist curricula and forms of pedagogy. We will consider candidates who are ABD in philosophy, though we prefer candidates who will have completed their PhD in philosophy before the job begins. Evidence of teaching aptitude is essential for this position, especially skill at teaching diverse groups of students.
