The Institute of Philosophy of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC Chile) invites interested candidates to apply for a full-time position as Professor of modern philosophy.The successful candidate is expected to conduct teaching and research in this field. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in philosophy.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Respect for the principles and mission of UC Chile.
APPLICATION MATERIALS (IN EITHER SPANISH OR ENGLISH)
• Cover letter (highlighting publications, grants, undergraduate and graduate teaching, conference participation and organization, professional service).
• Research statement (describing current and proposed research in the field of medieval philosophy of 3 pages in length).
• Curriculum Vitae, organized in the following format:
i. Personal information: name, address, phone number, e-mail address and webpage
(if applicable).
ii. Education: list of academic and professional degrees, indicating the granting institutions and relevant dates. Academic degree certificates must be attached.
iii. Research:

a. b. Full list of publications(WOS,SCOPUS,andothers),bookchapters,andbooks. Among them, highlight the most relevant and their impact in the field of medieval philosophy.
Participation in research projects, explaining level of participation (PI, Co-I, other), dates, and institution.
Teaching experience, indicating the institution, course, and participation (responsible, co-responsible, etc.).
Other: awards, language proficiency, or other information considered relevant to the application.
iv. v.
• Copy of the PhD degree.
• 2 or 3 reference letters.
• 1 or 2 selected research articles, with a brief indication of the main contribution to the discipline that supports their selection.
Selected candidates should be available to give a mock class and to participate in an interview with the Selection Committee.
If the successful candidate is a not a Chilean citizen, she or he will need to obtain the appropriate visa from the corresponding Chilean consulate to become a faculty member.
