4-year PhD Fellowship in Philosophy of Science (EXPIRED)

Job Duties:

• Conduct independent research and complete a doctoral thesis
• Teach university-level classes initially in English, after two years also in German
• Participate in the institute’s administrative tasks

Your Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in Philosophy
• Possess a strong interest in rigorously pursuing philosophical research into the interrelations between science (including the social sciences) and society
• Good knowledge of philosophy of science and at least one social science such as economics or political science
• Strong command of English (level B2+)
• Strong command of German sufficient for teaching in German language study programs (Level B2+) after 2 years
• Strong team player
• Possess understanding of structures and procedures in university governance
