Job description |
The position: The successful candidate must have a research focus in an area of Applied Ethics and an excellent research track record with publications in internationally leading philosophy journals. The successful candidate will contribute to the research of the FWF-funded Cluster of Excellence “Knowledge in Crisis” (https://medienportal.univie.ac.at/en/media/recent-press-releases/detailansicht-en/artikel/understanding-and-overcoming-the-crisis-of-the-knowledge/). The tenure-track professorship Applied Ethics will be embedded into the faculty’s key research area Practical Philosophy (https://philosophie.univie.ac.at/en/department/) to which the successful candidate is expected to contribute. We expect the successful candidate to acquire, within three years, proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in bachelor’s programmes and for participation in university committees. We offer:
