Associate Professor or higher

The Department of Philosophy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick) is pleased to invite applications for a senior level appointment to begin September 1, 2025.  

Ph.D. in Philosophy and a strong record of distinguished teaching and scholarly publication required.  We seek a scholar suitable for appointment with tenure at the rank of Associate Professor or higher.  The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the Department and University, including the regular teaching of both undergraduate and graduate students.  

Candidates should submit a letter of interest addressed to Professor Dean Zimmerman, along with a current curriculum vitae and the names of at least three referees. To receive full consideration, applications should be submitted by October 30, 2024.  The search will continue until the position is filled.
