Assistant Professor

The Department of Philosophy at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach 4 courses per year (2/2) at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise Ph.D. students, and provide service to the Department. Teaching in Columbia’s Core Curriculum may be part of the teaching load. Salary is competitive. AOS: Open. The Department welcomes applications from all areas and traditions within the discipline. AOC: Open. Ph.D. must be in hand at the time of the appointment. Review of applications will begin on October 21 and continue until the position is filled.
