Job description |
The Vanderbilt Department of Philosophy seeks to hire a full-time tenured faculty at the rank of associate or full professor. The position will be joint with Vanderbilt University’s new College of Connected Computing, with an administrative home in the Department of Philosophy. AOS: Philosophy of Mind. AOC: Open. Candidates’ research in philosophy of mind should engage with dimensions of agency and choice, ideally addressing normative questions and/or Artificial Intelligence. The position will start in the fall semester of 2025. The typical course load is four courses/year (2/2), including undergraduate and graduate teaching, with standard expectations for service to the department and university. Qualifications : Applicants must have a record of internationally recognized, leading-edge scholarship in their respective fields.
