Tenure-track Assistant Professor – Philosophy St. Bonaventure University’s Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning fall 2025. The Department is looking for someone who is prepared to teach both Ethics and Critical Thinking in our General Education curriculum, and who has expertise in sustainability studies, philosophy of economics, and/or indigenous philosophy. The teaching load is four courses per semester. We are looking first and foremost for an excellent teacher. Candidates who also have a promising research agenda are desirable. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2025. Founded in 1858, St. Bonaventure University is a Catholic university dedicated to educational excellence in the Franciscan tradition.
