Amherst College Visiting Assistant Professor in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought Amherst College's Department of Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought invites applications for a full-time three-year visiting appointment at the rank of assistant professor for the 2025-8 academic years (beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2028). Teaching responsibilities include two courses per semester and supervision of senior honors projects. We welcome applications from persons trained in the humanities, social sciences, and/or law. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching is in one or more of the following areas: global legality; post-colonial legality; law and science; law and critical race theory; law and religion; legal theory; legal history; and law and culture. The position requires a Ph.D or a J.D.
