Position Overview The University of the South seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy. This is a full-time, one-year appointment (effective July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026). The teaching load for this position is six courses per year. Position Description The Department of Philosophy at the University of the South seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy. Area of Specialization: Open; Area of Competence: Business Ethics. This is a full-time, one-year appointment (effective July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) with a teaching load of six courses (3/3). Teaching responsibilities will be focused primarily on introductory level philosophy courses, especially Business Ethics, but will also include the opportunity to offer at least one upper level class in the area of the candidate’s expertise. We particularly welcome faculty with knowledge, skills, or diverse life experiences contributing to an inclusive and welcoming environment in our department and the institution.
