Associate Professor or Lecturer in Value Theory

About the role. UCL is looking to make a permanent appointment in any area of value theory. 

The appointment will be either at Associate Professor level (£68,284–£76,244) or Lecturer level (£54,931–£64,644, both figures include London Allowance).

The successful candidate will teach up to four full modules each academic year.

About you. You will hold a PhD in philosophy, with a research specialism in some area of value theory. You will demonstrate evidence of excellence in philosophical research. You will have experience of teaching, supervision and administration in a higher education setting.

We offer several undergraduate degree programmes. Undergraduate first-year modules usually consist of two hour-long lectures plus an hour-long seminar each week; second-year modules usually involve a one-hour lecture plus a one-hour seminar each week; third year modules usually consist of a weekly two-hour seminar.
