Associate Professor or Lecturer in Philosophy, open area

About the role. UCL is looking to make two permanent appointments in any area of philosophy (including its history).

The appointments will be either at Associate Professor level (£68,284–£76,244) or Lecturer level (£54,931–£64,644, both figures include London Allowance).

The successful candidate will teach up to four full modules each academic year.

About you. You will hold a PhD in philosophy. You will demonstrate evidence of excellence in philosophical research. You will have experience of teaching, supervision and administration in a higher education setting.

We offer several undergraduate degree programmes. Undergraduate first-year modules usually consist of two hour-long lectures plus an hour-long seminar each week; second-year modules usually involve a one-hour lecture plus a one-hour seminar each week; third year modules usually consist of a weekly two-hour seminar.
