Job description

A two-year postdoc ("Researcher") position is advertised at the Univ. of Oslo in Formal Semantics and/or areas of Logic or Philosophy that are relevant to Formal Semantics. 

The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is funded by the European Research Council and is associated with the ERC Advanced Grant project Construction in the Formal Sciences (C-FORS).

We seek a candidate who can contribute to Work Package 3: Formal Semantics and to the project as a whole, based on expertise in formal semantics and/or areas of logic or philosophy that are relevant to formal semantics.

Applicants are expected to submit a research proposal that contributes to the C-FORS research project. Relevant topics might include (but are not limited to): intensional entities (e.g. propositions, properties, relations, and groups) in formal semantics, logic, or metaphysics; nominalization and group formation; hyperintensionality in semantics; intensional and hyperintensional paradoxes (such as the Russell-Myhill paradox).
