Lecturer or Associate Professor

We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre individual with a strong research and teaching profile to complement our existing strengths in Philosophy. The post is open to those with expertise in (1) social philosophy and (2) at least one area of theoretical philosophy (metaphysics; epistemology; philosophy of language, logic, mind, action), within any philosophical approach or tradition. Any combination of these specialisms will be considered. You may have equal levels of research specialism in both, or one may be more dominant than the other; the two areas may reflect two aspects of your work (e.g. an area of theoretical philosophy engaged through a social or political approach) or represent different non-intersecting areas of interest. An ability to teach feminist philosophy, philosophy of sex and gender, philosophy of race, philosophy of disability, non-Western philosophy, or the philosophy of logic and mathematics would be an advantage.
