Understanding of the University's Catholic identity and mission is essential. The position start date in 2026 is negotiable. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and research-intensive National School of Philosophy, that has colleagues based across campuses in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Together with colleagues located in other university organisational units, the School is part of a larger Philosophy ecosystem at ACU that comprises one of Australia's largest centres of philosophical expertise. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs of learning informed by innovative and responsive curriculum design, and a growing doctoral program that is supported by international linkages and opportunities for student mobility. Our research expertise spans a range of areas of philosophical specialisation and methodology. Striving for excellence in research and teaching, School staff are committed to socially-engaged and rigorous intellectual encounter with our students and with research collaborators across the globe. The closing date for applications Is 2 February. For full consideration, applications should be received by then. Review of applications will begin shortly after the closing date. Applications are to be submitted via the ACU applications website.
